At Gracious Hands Uganda, we believe that every young mother deserves an opportunity to thrive. Our programs are designed to restore hope, empower families, and create lasting change. Through education support, vocational skills training, and community outreach, we give disadvantaged families the tools they need to build brighter futures.
OUR CORE PROJECTS

EDUCATION PROGRAM
School Sponsorship
Providing school fees, uniforms, and learning materials to support vulnerable children at John Opendi Memorial Junior School and enable them to stay in school.
Learning Material Support
Supplying books, desks, and essential learning resources to strengthen school environments and improve learning outcomes.
Back to School Drive
Distributing school essentials to children from low-income families at the start of each school term.
WOMEN EMPOWEREMENT PROGRAM
Tailoring & Hairdressing Skills Training
Providing hands-on vocational training in tailoring and hairdressing to equip women with practical, income-generating skills.
Bakery & Pastry Skills Training
Training women in baking, pastry making, and basic entrepreneurship to help them start and grow sustainable livelihoods.
Women Business Start-Up Support
Supporting trained women to launch small businesses through start-up grants, mentorship, and ongoing guidance.
HEALTH PROGRAM
Community Medical Outreach
Providing free medical checkups, basic treatment, and health education to improve access to essential healthcare services in underserved communities.
Menstrual Hygiene Awareness
Promoting menstrual health through education, awareness sessions, and distribution of reusable sanitary pads to support girls and women.
Water & Sanitation Initiative
Improving community health by promoting access to safe water and encouraging proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
FAITH & HOPE PROGRAM
Grace Moments Outreach
Offering prayer, encouragement, and fellowship to bring hope, comfort, and spiritual support to individuals and families.
Family Prayer & Counselling Services
Providing faith-based counselling and prayer support to families facing challenges, crises, and emotional distress.
End-of-Year Thanksgiving Mission
Hosting annual thanksgiving missions where communities gather to share testimonies, receive essential support, and celebrate God’s goodness together.

11 MAY, 2025
Health Centre Charity Outreach
On 11th May 2025, we carried out a Health Centre Charity Outreach at Merikit Health Centre, reaching expectant mothers and young women with compassion and practical support. During the visit, we donated mama kits, sugar, soap, clothing, and provided financial assistance to help mothers prepare for safe deliveries and improve their overall well-being. This outreach reaffirmed our commitment to supporting vulnerable women and promoting healthier, empowered communities.
12 AUGUST, 2025
International Youth Day
On 12th August 2025, we celebrated International Youth Day at John Opendi Memorial Junior School Grounds in Magoro, Tororo District, under the theme “Empowering Youth for a Better Tomorrow.” The event featured tree planting, environmental clean-up, mentorship sessions, a friendly football match (Gracious Hands vs. Community Team), a youth talent showcase, community activities, and youth awards. The day inspired young people to lead positive change, build life skills, and actively shape a better future.
23&24 DECEMBER, 2025
End of Year Charity Outreach
Held on 23rd and 24th December 2025, our End-of-Year Charity Outreach brought warmth, joy, and hope to families and children during the festive season. Under the theme “Bringing Joy to Hearts and Hope to Homes This Christmas,” the outreach included food distribution, a children’s Christmas party, gift sharing and love packs, games, Bible quizzes, and a thanksgiving prayer. This heartfelt initiative reminded families that they are loved, supported, and valued.
